Four paintings depict a Bosnian living room. They are composed of stories and photographs that Čavčić collected during conversations with her parents and other family members. From a distance, you primarily notice the domestic atmosphere: the crocheted doily, the stove, a sofa set. However, as you look closer and linger, traces of the war from the 1990s become visible – a rifle, body parts, a broken mirror. In this way, the paintings embody how these memories are tucked away in daily life and the time it took to begin discussing them.
