During my visit in Bosnia the stories of the war times were mostly focused on food and survival. Food packages from the skies to 10km walking with heavy bags of potatoes. Really intrigued by it and now a new serie has came to live.
The blue purple paintings are inspired by the roll of analoge photos my mom brought with her from Bosnia. The roll was 4 years old and in bad condition. No one wanted to print the photo’s out because of the chance to damage them. But luckily she found some one that could print them out but only in blue/purple. The photo’s are really important to us since it was the right after my brother was born and also the last photo’s taking from my grandfather.
